Default New to Manual Trans conversion, have a questions about a T56

I've done several swaps with an auto trans but this will be my first with a manual, I've read a lot of posts about manuals but because I’m new to manual trans I'm still a little confused. Here is my specific question, I have a LQ4 from a 03 Yukon and I've found a local guy that has a T56 out of a C5 corvette, he’s asking $800 for it. Will this T56 fit the LQ4 and is $800 a good price? It is supposed to have 85K miles on it.

Thanks for the help.

Corvettes use a rear mounted transaxle bolted to a torque tube.

So if you are front engined and wanting the gearbox to bolt directly to the engine...then no it will not be suitable

eg, the vette layout
