Another iat relocation qustion? I have been exploring iat relocation due to the heat making my 500+rwhp gto feel like a daaawg with some heat soakage. I was at the pick and pull today rubishing around and found these IAT censors from some grand am's and Cadillacs I believe. Question is, how can I test these with my ohm meter to see which one reacts fastest? I even snabbed a couple grommets to relocate, I just wanna know which one would work best? I have 2 other styled ones outside the picture. Any input is appreciated, thanks

If anyone happens to search on this, I thought maybe they read different but no. I plugged 4 different ones in to where I relocated my IAt on the gto and they all felt way better than the stocker in the maf, and didnt get any codes. Sometimes I overthink the simplicity of these motors, I think?

I have an 05 GTO. What I did was grab an 01 Fbody IAT, a plug and a grommet that fit. Think I spent $30 or $40. I have a Vararam, so I used a step bit to drill a hole in the back of the filter, made a little harness that runs from the old MAF harness(I run in SD) to the IAT connector. It works well, was easy and cheap.

Google search "omega iat ls1gto" to modify your own with a fast acting sensor.
As far as mount you could always tap it into the manifold behind the TB. You don't want to "trick" the sensor or get one that gives you what you want. You need the most accurate and real info as possible, otherwise just put it in an A/C vent.
