LS2 tensioner

I ordered an LS2 belt tensioner bc I read it was a better unit, had a higher walled pulley and it bolted right up to where the stock LS1 tensioner is. When we tried to put it on the bolts lined up but the body was to thin, so the belt won't line up. Is there something I'm missing, an adapter

What belt won't line up? What body was to thin?

The body of the ls2 tensioner is thinner and won't allow the idler to line up.
