ls3 swap NEED HELP Need help!!! I have a ls3 6.2 out of a 2013 camaro going in a 91 silverado what all is needed?
inventory is

6l80 out of a 2010 escalade
will gm performace engine controller kit work?
what torque converter should i use?

Did you get the ecm from the Camaro? The 6L80E has a tcm inside on the valve body, thus they use a canbus line. I don't know if there is a gm controller for this combo. If this is a true LS3 from the Camaro, you will have to get the ecm tuned for the 6L80 and get a wiring harness to connect them. I used Speartech for my LS3 crate motor and 6L80.

if the camaro had an automatic, your pcm should be fine to use. I'd send the pcm to whoever does your harness so they can flash it for you. Best to use the one company for both. Lots of variables with the E38's vs the old 411 LS1 pcms. You'll definitely need an automatic file for a 6L80E.
