Default LS2 Compression Ratio

What's going on guys, long time stalker first time poster here. I have a questions I was hoping one of you might be able to answer for me. I am in the planning process of dropping a couple turbos in my 05 GTO. I currently have a stock bottom end ls2 with 50k miles on in, Torquer V4 231/234 .629/.615 Camshaft, and some LS6 heads. I have looked up the formula for figuring out compression ratio but I'm not even going to lie. It went right over my head. From what I gathered from it, this is the information that is needed to figure it out. I was just hoping someone a lot smarter than me would be kind enough to help me out.

Some other info... Had a compression test done and all cylinders where in between 110-120 PSI so from what I have read I am good there. Also as far as cams go. I have been looking at "turbo" cams and they seem pretty close in specs to the Torquer V4 in my eyes. Am I way off the mark there? I am going to continue reading up as much as I can on here but any knowledge you guys want to throw my way would be greatly appreciated. I have a few months before I head back state side so I have plenty of time to plan it all out.

I think the stock LS2 was about 10.8 :1 compression. Why do you have LS6 heads instead of the 243's that were stock?

LS6 heads are 243's casting and have the same compression ratio. The only difference are the valves; solids vs hollow/sodium filled ones on the LS6.

Focus on the turbo setup. If the engine is together, running fine, then forget about the cams/heads and other internal upgrades. If you are running 93 now in 80*F ambient temps without any Knock, good looking plugs, fully loaded through all the gears, then I wouldn't worry too much about what the compression is exactly yet, as long as you are sure it isn't something ridiculous. 120psi is pretty low, not that its much of a comparison but: a brand new 8.5:1 compression 2.0L engine makes 154psi with the OEM camshaft.

Focus on the turbochargers, and get it boosting 5psi with 93, again with no knock or issues. Run it for a while like that, keep checking the plugs, make sure there is plenty of fuel available. Tune it with the final injectors you anticipate using.

Then install a methanol/water kit and turn the boost up some more. The OEM block should be okay between 7psi and 12psi~ although opinions vary, I would keep it around 10psi on the meth injection it should be fine. The transmission is going to need more attention than the engine at this point.

Most of the post I have been reading about meth/water kits is that it's not good for a daily driver. That you have to change the oil every 500-1000 miles. I'm still reading up on it tho.

You can always use 100% distilled water. The system, once in place, is there for you to fine tune safety at high boost pressures, and it can be turned off. So if you wanted to run without it, turn the boost down, drive like normal. Or, you can drive your 2800 miles, then for the last 200 miles blast methanol (if changing oil at 3k and worried about it)

I don't think there would be an issue if you keep it minimal and use mostly water. You arn't trying to push 25psi of boost through the mostly stock engine; I think there is much less dilution going on when the spray is for light duty.
