Default I NEED ADVICE QUICK! check inside please!

Ok I did a bunch of searches but keep coming up with conflicting info

98 z28 has 243 heads, custom ground cam, ls6 intake manifold, injectors, intake, exhaust etc

Car was originally dyno tuned with an American racing catted y pipe, all 4 o2s, to slp loudmouth

Changing to tsp cat less X pipe no rear o2

Now I removed the rear o2 obviously ses light came on, what I'm looking to find out is, IF it's okay to drive my car this way, taking it on a trip to the cruise in, in ocean city Maryland in two weeks. My tuner is backed up 2-3 weeks. And I'm putting the entire suspension, rear, exhaust, steering setup in the car literally next week. So I have about 0 extra days lol. Will it be okay to drive the car down there? About a 250 mile trip in each direction? Will it affect anything, change anything, screw anything up?

Or is she okay to go, thank you!

It will be fine. Something you could do to get rid of the SES light is to connect the O2's but zip tie them up under the car. Only problem there would be if they got wet.

You'll be fine. Exhaust wont change enough to need a new tune or risk damage.

Icrazy I thought about that, didn't know if it would affect the readings and throw more fuel into the car to compensate or vice versa, pull fuel etc. and nicke alrighty, the tune place said "don't beat on the car or race it it can cause damage" and I was like oh great, now I dunno if I should even drive it that far haha

the rear O2 sensors do not affect the fueling, only cause a code and SES light because it shows inefficiency in the cat converters

as long as the car wasn't already tuned on the lean side it shouldn't have changed enough to be dangerous

Go buy 2 "spark plug non-foulers" from your local parts store. Drill them out and tap them to match your rear o2 sensors. Then install your new spacer to the exhaust and sensor into the spacer.

Should be this when you're done...

^ ive seen that, people space them out and put them back in. I think I'll give that a try. See what happens, was just worried about messing something up lol. And I know my car is definitely not lean, she gives a good spew of soot on the rear bumper after about a week, she's going in for a re tune after my trip to the cruise in two weeks.
