Angry 2007 cts v exhaust question

So I'm pretty annoyed. Took my car to get mufflers put on today. My car came with 2.5 gm performance, it was very quiet so i chopped the mufflers off in the back. So after a few weeks I came to the conclusion it was too loud. The muffler shop put magnaflow mufflers on and it sounds decent. My problem is when i got home I realized they were 2.25 inch mufflers! I'm beyond pissed, especially with the amount i paid. Is it all in my head because it's quieter or is this really killing my performance, it definately feels sluggish. My car is a head cam car that put down close to 450whp in the dead summer head of sc.
Any help is appreciated.

Yes, dual 2.25 is hurting you. Did you tell them you wanted 2.5" or 3"?

Well depends really where the 2.25" piping is at.

If it's just the mufflers that are 2.25" and the rest of the piping is 2.5" then I wouldn't really worry about it. You're not going to lose more than 1-2hp from that (if any).

Now if they chopped off your entire exhaust and made it 2.25" then yeah I'd be worried. Also your car is feeling sluggish from high ambient temperatures outside, not from slightly smaller mufflers.
