Default What size tq converter should I be running

Motor: 402 stroker ls2 iron block fully forged
intake: ported fast 102/ported fast 102 TB
cam: 240-240 608-608-114
compression: 11.4-1
heads: ported l92's
exhaust: 2"kooks headers full 3" open exhaust
trans: RPM STAGE V 4l60e
rear gear: 3.41's
stall: 2600

I don't really drag race, and I'm very out of the loop with torque converters the car is raced from a 40 roll and a highway runner... should I go to a bigger torque converter or is that the ideal size for what I do. I master in motor work.. tranny and converters I lack knowledge... what size converter do you guys suggest if that converter is to small. dyno jet read 563whp 516 wtq

If purely for racing, most will tell you to have the stall set at between 500 RPMs BELOW peak torque to equal to peak torque.

So.....if your peak torque is at 4500 RPMs, then your torque converter should be about 4000 to 4500 stall.

But if you value (spirited) drivability on the street, then you'll want something between 3200 and 3600 stall.

All three of my cars are sporting 3200 stall TC's (Yank and Circle-D).
