Default LS7 and 4l80e
what would be needed to back my 2006 LS7 with an 4l80 I have laying around my engine is from a manual transmission car, so what will need to be done to control the trans?

I know I'll need TCI 399754 LS7 to 4L80-E Transmission flexplate. What torque converter would I need(stock cam, 3.42 rear gear)?

If didn't anyone send you a PM here you are.

TCI along with 3 or 4 other companies sell a transmission controller unit for the 4l80e as well as the 4l60. As far as TQ converter you would need to talk to the people you're purchasing the converter from as it's based off of car weight,rear gear, and cam.

yea I’m familiar with the TCI controller I have one already from when I ran the trans behind the previous older style engine, I was hoping to use the LS computer with the LS7 to control it this go around, Ive already talked to Speartech who makes a harness but they say said their 4L80E add-on harness is meant for 24x systems that used the Blue/Green or Blue/Red computers only not the LS7s 58x computer, they said they could custom make me a harness that would work so I know it can be done but how.
