Get those 243's ported and find a generous dyno. That should do it

Stock 243’s would even do it. Ported ones will make it easier

Get a 243 intake which is WAY better than the LS1 unit. Not sure on the injectors...

The 2000s had smaller injectors, but the earlier ones still go 100% duty at 400 rwhp. Get some basic 36 pounders at 42 psi when u get new ones.

Ported 243 heads can get pricey. Couple more hundred dollars and you can go TFS like I recommended. Everyone port work isn't the same in performance, price and quality.

if he has them already its not so bad, but ive been seeing some aftermarket castings in the marketplace for under 2000 tho ready to bolt on, so sell the 243s for 350 and can get them maybe for 1500

TSP will do a stage I port on 243's for $750, larger valves (this makes it a Stage 2.5) and/or different springs are extra.

From what I've seen with my own eyes is that TEA have the meanest port program for a 243 head. They have track times to back up their work but they not cheap by no means.....

I suppose it comes down to bang for the buck... I think TSP's porting is more conservative, not taking out much material and concentrating more on smoothing the flow.

More than a set of ported heads. A good valve job, multi angled on the intakes with a back cut, maybe a radiused seat on the exhaust (serdi) and a good intake manifold to support it will make the OP’s goal

Enough of the 450whp bolt on ls6 nonsense. Your full of it and everyone who has basic knowledge of engines knows it. I have spoken with experienced tuners and engine builders and they laugh at this notion when I bring it up. Find an honest dyno and stop plauging these forms with lies and if your not lying, you were lied to by your tuner and Dyno results, you are impressing no one and just make yourselves look like fools to those who know better.

Headers, exhaust, fast 92 and 205-215cc afr/trick heads with a mild street cam will get you in the 450whp territory. If you want more then I'd build the bottom end with good lightweight components and low friction rings and add a fast 102 and a bigger cam paired with heads that will satisfy 7k+ RPM demands for air. And a revised fuel system to support it. You could also free up HP from power robbing accessories but this imo isn't worth the investment unless you want to squeeze every ounce of power out for bragging rights.

+1 on the TFS 220 as cast hard to go wrong for the price.

get a ported FAST 92/92 setup 1 7/8 headers make sure you have a good flowing catback. upgrade that lid to a Fast Toys 98mm lid, do away with the MAF and have a good tune put on it and you should be damn close. if not have those 243s ported and it will for sure make that as long as the tune is good.
