Will the cast oil pan on an LS3 support it's weight ?

Should be fine, I've jacked up several LS motors by the oil pan.
USE A WOOD BLOCK that goes from one side of the pan to the other to help distribute the weight across as much of the pan as possible.
I use a 2x4 when I do them and it works out great, I do it mostly when I'm replacing engine mounts.
