It's a nifty setup. Little too busy for me, though.
I was extremely happy with the non-AC version of the chrs1313 myself, as was Geoff. With the lower bottom portion of the scoop installed I've seen the same results on the road. Impossible to measure the gains on the dyno though, obviously.

It goes on and off very easy and is completely dd'able since the filter is built in. It does require other changes tho.

Once i get the car goin again ima change it to a 2 bar map and pull the filter. It could see more than 101.5. Darth told me that's just where the ls1 map stops. Never got to run it with this set up at the track tho. Just in street testing.

I feed it through 2 4" openings.

The outer inlets are used to duct the air to the rad . The bottom feeding is gone and flat bottomed now.

That is a sweet design. I appreciate the ingenuity, definitely.

I’m getting down to 94-95 at WOT. Starts at around 98. KPA is 100 key on. Think I might be pulling mine off.
This is a 383 LT1 with a LLSR cam that revs to 7300 very easily.

Hawks Motorsports has a nice replacement lid filter. It’s taller than the k&n so it seals to the lid way better and also looks like it flows better. Tap below.

If removal of my card style maf helps kpa .03 that would put me at 98-100 depending on rpm. I would be fine with that. Dropping to .95 doesn’t sit well with me though. Not when barometric pressure is 100.
