Everyone seems to forget about power under the curve when they strap a car down on the dyno. Longer runners tend to produce more midrange torque which is important for a street car.

That is factor'ed into runner length and rpm.

The square port heads and 400+cid strokers make plenty of torque AND can make power after 7000... hence why I went with the FAST with med length runners.

Thinking out loud...CID intake has shorter runners and larger plenum. What are other intakes missing as far as power? Plenum, runner length, CFM=Larger TB. Take any intake talked about and ask what does a larger TB do for a given combination? If a 105mm TB is good then a 108+mm is even better. Same as a 4500 vs a 105mm TB. Size maters. This isn't carb 101, We can never have enough air flow with efi & tb. No matter runner length.

Holley Low Pro sniper and Mamo's MSD Ls7 needs to be tested next with & without heads attached. So as to see the 400+cfm numbers get Choked? 370cfm from a MSD runner would be funny. Cut and reweld the low pro for a larger TB face 105+mm not a 102. More area: has more potential cfm which is always needed. Out think the intake? Plastic can be cut but Not welded for a larger face.

The entire key to power is having a head that isn't hindered by a choke point. Whether intake or TB. If a intake only flows 330 but my heads flow 370+ = lost potential! Just got a text back from D. Morgan on LT1 heads. Says's it's a bastardized abortion case best talked over the phone. Damn that bad?

As to what needs to be tested, dude was covering the costs himself. I know a few of us kicked over some $$$ to contribute, but I guarantee you he paid over 90% of the cost. As to the intakes, he just needs them sent to him. Most people that have a mamo LS7 MSD have it sitting about 4mm above their valley cover, so there aren't many laying around for posterity.

If Darrin says you have a bastardized abortion case on your hand, You may want a few drinks before you call him...

Not saying one must do it. But a thought as to Know what is seen with the intake attached. 380 + cfm heads. I'll see what Darin say's, if rpm and higher lift don't get a little something. Move on but would like Darin's thoughts as to why the head is a abortion case. I'd like to see what you and Hammer heads flow with the Low pro attached.

it's called lod speedworks. Google it. It will pop right up for ya.

it's pretty similar to a hiram style intake but it's made to fit 5gens.

Based off GPI and TSPs track times in their sbe cars, they both have you beat it seems.
