Default First LS swap. Help please.
I am new here but I have found alot of useful info already. I'm putting a ls (lmg) 5.3 with the 6l80 trans in my 1986 c10. It is hard to find specific wire harness info on that engine. I am wanting to convert the factory harness into a standalone harness. If anybody has any info on that it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

A harness from PSI is a good choice and it is working well in my 70 El Camino with an LS truck motor and 4L60E trans.

Default First LS swap
Thank you for the info, I am wanting to try to modify the original wire harness. I'm having trouble finding out what sensors to keep and which ones to leave. I also need to do the same with the wires in the harness. I keep finding alot of the info on the 2005 LS engines but not so much on the 2012.

Are you keeping VVT? Does it have DOD and if so are you keeping it? You will likely lose rear O2 sensors. Knock sensors have moved to the water jackets. Oil pressure I believe is now in the PCM. Vent solenoid can go. I'll be home on the 11th. Email me. I'll help all I can.

I will be keeping the vvt, but get rid of DOD. I will email you on the 11th. Thank you for your help.
