Default Cathedral Port heads for L92

I have an odd question, but I have a chance to pull a L92 engine for cheap. I already have a LC9 engine (799 heads) that I was planning to build, and for it had purchased a FiTech Ultimate LS kit (70003) which is designed for cathedral Port heads only. But the L92 I can get for the price of the accessories I need for the LC9. My question is, are there any cathedral port head options (aftermarket or otherwise) that will fit the L92 block so that I can still use my FiTech system? Thanks in advance gurus.

Any of the OEM cathedral heads will fit but some of the older heads (LS1 and 5.3) had a gap in the deck surface so a specific gasket would need to be used.

Find another set of 243/799 heads, and you will be good. None of them have the cast-in surface gap mentioned above.

So, a set of 799 heads will drop onto an L92 with the correct gasket. What gasket would this be? Also, would the aftermarket (trick-flow, AFR, mast, etc...) cathedrals work? And would they require the specific gasket?

What is your HP goal? Anything up to 500FWHP, the 243/799 will support with a good port job.

Yes, the 799 castings will work, you would just need a gasket to fit the bore of the block. OEM 6.2L gaskets would work as well as any aftermarket gasket at least a 4.070" bore. Most aftermarket heads would fit too, but you have to be mindful that some cathedrals may require a larger bore. The TFS 245cc cathedrals require a 4.125" bore for example.

I'm trying to sort through what Summit has available, but the filters they have make it a challenge. I was going to build an N/A stroker with the LC9 originally, as the platform it was going in was a 1980 Triumph TR7. But I can't bring myself to cut up my father's car he passed on to me, so I bought a 2011 Crown Vic. With that stronger platform, my intent is to either single or twin turbo, and be a street/strip car. I've built a TDI Jetta to 360ft/lbs of torque, a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R to approx. 350hp crank (AWD loss is ridiculous), but I'm done toying around. It's time to go big or go home, I want to get behind the wheel and be truly scared. Vette/Hellcat killer. Before I die, I want to feel 1000hp around me.

Sell the FITech intake and just buy either an ebay fabricated (these are the same EXACT intake FITech uses for their Ultimate kits) or a Holley Sniper in rectangle port.
Then you can use the rectangle ports heads and the FITech.

Honestly, until you turbo it I would just throw the 799's on that you have. You can use stock 6.2L LS3 gaskets or even LS9 gaskets, which seem to work REALLY well for boosted combos. If you need to drop the compression later for the boost, you can then swap some 317's or some aftermarket heads, like TFS or MAST.

I know this thread is a little old, but in doing some research I came across these adapter plates by ICT. I saw the one review on the Summit site, but who knows, could have just been a defective one, poor install, etc... I was wondering if anyone on here had some experience with them.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/i...317/?rrec=true

Any input on these would be appreciated.

What about the TSP 247 cathedrals? Should be able to provide enough air to for a 6.0.
