Have you taken it to the strip? That will tell the true story.

yea and the trick flows flow more then LS3's I just love you guys "oh yea ly6 cam only should get you 530 at the crank easy" OR "I think an LS2 with pretty much ALL the fixin's , you got an unrealistic # in your head" I'm ******* amazed GM didn't put those in vette's, **** the LS1 2's and 3's Hell you all are saying that with not much more work one of those LY6's would out do an ls7, maybe just pee in the tank a little or take some of the dirt off the block, there yo go 600 at the crank.

The LY6 is basically a cross engine between a the LS2 and the LS3. Its a iron 6.0 basically with L92 heads on top. L92 heads are basically LS3 heads with heavier valves.
If you ever read on the LS3 engine in GMHTP magazines... ? You'll see where they took 3 cams from BTR and tested each cam on the dyno. The smallest cam netted like 540 horse or so.

now that we're on the subject, i think engine masters did 575 on an LS with rec port heads with a medium sized cam.

Was going to put one together this winter to replace my 347 using mostly stock internals, stock 821 heads but putting a lot of detail into the valve train. Got a BTR ( Comp) 231-242 113 .624 lift cam to start off with. About 10.5* of overlap.
