Oil cap problem.

Exclamation Oil cap problem.
I bought a set of valve covers but I cant find the correct oil cap. The oil hole in the valve cover has two humps on the ID of the hole and all my caps are made for the usual one hump or thread whatever you call it. Can anyone tell me where I can find the correct cap. I bought 2 all ready and both wont fit.

Are the VCs expecting you to use the "extension" thing that trucks usually have?

Are there 2 nubs on the inside of the one in the pic? If so thats it. I bought a tube like that one but it wouldnt fit either.

I went and looked...

Nope. Just one.

No telling what VCs you have. Evidently not stock. Not much more help I can offer. Maybe, get a cap from the same vendor. Or, take em back and get different ones.

Thanx, Hopefully someone will chime in with similar VC's. I am kind of stuck with these, they are fresh powder coated and installed with coils ect.

Here is a clear pic of the 2 nubs, one larger than the other and opposite of each other, not sure what they are off of.

I didn't know they changed valve cover designs for different style filler necks. I know on the long neck to install it into the valve cover hole you install it upside down to get it started and then turn it clockwise to lock it in.

Not sure what year or engine, I bought them used for use on a LS3 not knowing this type existed.

The one nub might be in the wrong place though.
