DBW throttle body options, LS2, stock computer
DBW throttle body options, LS2, stock computer What are the options for someone needing to replace their stock TB? I don’t mind wiring/harness changes, but would like to keep the computer as-is and stay DBW. Pull off LS2 TBs are going for a premium, and most are well-used. It’d be great to be able to go to something newer.
Never said I had any problem, really. Looking for an LS2 dbw alternative as I know LS2 works on my setup.
My setup is unique...2002 LQ9 factory DBW. A simple adapter harness allows me to use an LS2 TB just fine (simple repin). If something can use another TB as an alternative to the LS2 one, without reprogramming, it should be fine in my application.

I'm in the same boat retrofitting to a 8.1l 496. I will be using a specific harness and if I get a gold blade or non silver blade equivalent, I'm going to be in for a world of hurt.
The electronics and how it reads is what we're after. What has the same style of electronics on it as a silver blade ls2?
