What's a good way to clean the oil out of a L96 gen4 truck intake?

My thinking would be to wash out with simple green and hot water. Then let the sun evaporate the water.

^^^^^^ I did this, repeated until water had no brown tinge to it. Took 4 passes and manifold is squeaky clean.

I use a degreaser and rise it out with water until it runs clear. Then sit it out in the sun or near the dehumidifier over night
