Greetings. So, I ordered a crate motor (PN 19329865) to replace bad motor on a friend's H2. Is a L92 motor I believe. 6.2 Alum block with VVT. There's a tapped hole on the top rear of block on the passenger side, opposite of where oil pressure plug goes in. Is a M8x1.25 tread. Old motor also has it. after I ran it few times, I noticed oil leak on starter bolts. Thinking is something wrong on the back, I pulled the motor again. This hole had oil sitting in it. I believe is leaking from there. Rear cover and seal look dry. Can someone tell me what's the purpose of this and why is leaking (circled with red)
? Old motor has it and nothing was installed in there. looks like there's some sort of angled passage behind it. should I just plug it with a bolt? Also rear vents are pre blocked apparently from the factory. Should I leave them alone? Thanks.
