Port and polish 823?
I have a set of 823 that came off my 6.0 truck motor that I am currently building for my 99 trans am. It is going to be a mild street build with maybe just a little giggle juice. It's getting summit racing forged rods and pistons but staying stock crank. Cam is yet to be decided. between a btr, or a texas speed.
my question is. How do these heads perform after a little bit of work? I plan on having the same machine shop due the heads that is doing all the block work. is there anything specific I should look for or have them change or machine?
thanks in advance.
Having said that, all you really need to do is a good multiangle valve job and do a bowl blend.
These two things are 80% of a good port job as far as results are concerned
