Ls3 cam firebird 69 Hi looking for advice for a cam that will stay calm low
for good idle
Its a 69 firebird probably going to be 3.73 rear and m6
On 25.7 tires
So an ls3 with long tube headers and cam is the idea
Something that would take it to arond 500-550 flywheel
224/230 588 lift 114 lsa is a good option?

With what nice idle you want and 3.73s, Id go with a TSP version the Spinmonster Cam with 230-234, 629-615, 114+2. Don't fall for myth that says you need more split in duration. Not true. Proven by those who have actually used. If you go smaller, you will leave some power on table and wish you had gone bigger. Depending on tuner, will idle as low as 650-750. Wouldn't 620 ish lift make the engine too choppy
I don't want to end up with a car that is not comfortable in red light

LS3 Heads can benefit from higher lift due to their airflow potential, with 630 lift usually the max recommended for use with stock rocker arms.
