Gen 3-4 Cam pigtail?

Default Gen 3-4 Cam pigtail?

Doing a gen 3 to gen 4 swap-I’ve got the 4x cam gear and a gen 3 cam plus gen 4 crank and cam sensors. My cam extension harness already has the A and C pins swapped. My extension harness plugs directly into the cam sensor-do I just toss the pigtail portion?
I’m getting a red led for crank and not seeing rpm although I’ve tried 2 crank sensors.

so you have a 4x 3 bolt cam gear, and is your crank a 24 or 58 tooth? I don't really follow, and what's flashing red, a Holley ECU or a Lingenfelter 24-58x conversion box?

its a gen 4 5.3 so 58x reluctor. Holley terminator x with the diagnostic leds= 6 red is for a crank error.

The cam pigtail is all the same. You don't swap any wires. The only thing that will change is the sensor itself from 1x or 4x. 24x uses 1x, 58x uses 4x. Crank sensors used to be black for 24x and gray for 58x. But not true anymore for OE GM stuff/ AC Delco. We now have OE 58 Crank sensors coming in black.

a & c are swapped on the cam sensor
