Oil Catch Can Comparison
How do these compare to Mighty Mount or Saikou products? Looking for a decent can that's not $250+.
1) The machining and overall quality of the can. Let's be real, as long as the threads aren't chowdered, and the seals keep it from creating a vacuum leak....it's just a can.
2) The filtering and/ or baffling determining how much oil is scavanged. The filtering seems to play a important role, with most having some sort of metal/ wire mesh contributing to most of the oil collection.
The fittings, brackets, and hoses are all incidental and can be swapped out easily if so desired. Again, this is all my opinion, but having none, vs having a cheapo only has to help.
You're not wrong, it's just a can, having one vs not having one is probably better if you need a catch can setup, but that evil energy one is especially cheap looking however, and the reviews on YouTube make it look even worse.
Evil Energy is 100% owned by amazon, which is obviously just a dreamed up company by some guys in a board room marketing knock off stuff to people who want cheap car parts.
I try to support companies that make things here when I can, ones that pay American workers to make their products and support our hobby.

Otherwise, it's a nice can and I'll gladly save the price difference. You get what you pay for? Come on, guys, get real: this $30 can does more than 20% of the work the $150 elite can does.
