L96? I have been looking for a LY6 locally, and they were available readily before pandemic but they are picked clean now.
Came across a low mileage L96 from 2011 2500HD. Very complete, all accessories etc.
I am greener than green, so be gentle, but is it not basically the same engine?
I will be eliminating the VVT, and I do not believe the 2011 engine has the AFM to deal with. Is this the same process as with the LY6?
I believe the L96 has slightly lower compression than the LY6?
This is the engine build I want to end up with, no turbo/supercharger just a fun N/A 500HP. It is a LY6 with a cam swap that they picked up 70HP over entire range. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/ne...-low-end-loss/
I picked up a TKO500 a couple of days ago so I am aquiring the drivetrain before I find a car to put it all in
