ATI Super Damper STUCK on LSA crank.
Access the crank pulley first and foremost.
Cut stock crank bolt to give me something to push onto
break 3 pullers (bolts snapping, the bearing in the hub popped from one)

friend brings his ATI puller over
starts to break
he goes home.
buy MAPP torch
break another Advance Auto rental, this time with a hot ATI hub.
Talk to ATI. They say a lot of heat - or i have to cut it off.
I start cutting it off with a cutoff wheel, but I'm really scared of cutting into the crankshaft. That's just about the last thing I want to do. I don't have the ***** to continue.
Am I allowed to use an acetylene torch on this thing? What are my other options? I have absolutely no idea how this bastard got so stuck.
For future reference, the ATI dampers are intended to be honed to fit, not just put on as received. Interference fit specs are provided with the instructions. Measure the crank OD and damper ID and hone the damper until the interference is within spec. My LS7 crank had an OD on the high side of spec so I had to hone my ATI damper or it would have been too tight.

The flange is totally gone. I cut myself a chasm so I can see where I'm cutting if it comes to that. I think it did
The sleeve unfortunately goes all the way back behind the engine front cover. And correct me if I'm wrong but it seems now there is no structure left to pull on? If no way to pull, then I'm worried you have no choice left but to cut the sleeve end to end and peel it off.
I'm guessing the tightest hold is toward the mid-span of that sleeve because the extra tight fit probably buggered up the surface finish on the crank as it was slid in place.

A friend let me borrow his induction heater. This thing is a miracle tool. I pulled the heater around the back of the hub, and in front of the AC pulley.
I was stuck using only 2 bolts (due to cuts, as well as bolts breaking off inside the hub)
