l92 vs lt4
I have a chassis works boxed front half for this so fitment Isnt really a concern its a choice of buying motor mounts and tranny crossmember that I haven't purchased yet anyway. This will be a resto-mod, so no issues making changes to the body if needed, but will be a 6 speed car and my understanding at the moment is the tunnel can handle the swap with no modifications.
So I have a l92 with 75k on it that I picked up for 3k. Plan was to shoot for a 500hp build I currently have no accessories and just have a bare ls3 intake manifold. So by the time I get all the things I dont have and build it and pay for the work and a tune...... Am I better off finding a LT4 pullout that I have seen from 10-12k in current market.
Lt4 is essentially turn key in this case no need to tune other than disabling things in the ECM which I can do compared to dyno time. Would have accessories injectors and all the things Id still have to purchase.
It seems to be a potential break even for me by the time I purchase all the stuff/pay for engine work
