Default LY6, OBD2 and TCM

I have an ly6 with a tr6060. Currently modifying and thinning the wiring harness (thanks lt1swap.com), and I’ve come to the TCM. Going to get rid of it entirely since I swapped in a tr6060, but the tan/black wires from the pcm (pins 27 and 28 GMLAN serial data bus) go to the TCM first before going to the x109 connector.

My question is, can I cut the two tan/black GMLAN Obd2 wires prior to the TCM and pin those into my Obd2 connector directly from the pcm without issue, or does the pcm need to communicate with the original TCM to work properly? I don’t have the old TCM and couldn’t use it even if I wanted to with the tr6060 as far as I know. Pic for some amount of context.

Thanks,
Daniel.
