this is my first LS build, so im making a lot of mistakes and ordering the wrong parts, etc....

i bought an l92.
i have replaced the cam with a non VVT summit stage 3 cam as suggested here. my question is on the cam position sensor pickup. the old VVT top cam gear had a piece of Sheetmetal that triggered teh hall effect sensor. i of course have a new timing cover with sensor for an ls3, but think i have the wrong cam gear.

i had to get the three bolt gear. mine has one long raised section just in of the teeth that extends about 1/2 way around the gear. is this the right one, if not what do i need?

Get the cam sprocket that has raised sections every 1/4. Usually called the "4X" 3-bolt sprocket.
