Default 6000 on parts?

I'm looking at

AFR 205s
Fast
Long Tubes
220/224 581.581 115lsa
I have an A4 Tranny

Or should I forget the long tubes fast and cam and get...
L92 418 and AFR 225s and wait on the other stuff.
What cam for this set up?

450 RWTQ, I want massive midrange and torque. What about the Livernois Stage 3? Have you heard any good things. In that comparison on GM High Tech they looked like the best bang for your buck.

I would duplicate this setup pretty close. It will more than meet your goals and be "relatively" inexpensive. There is alot of things that Kevin spent money on that are not absolutely necessary. You could go with an iron block 408 and save an extra $500-600 that you could put towards other things. PM WKMCD and ask him for some advice. Kevin is a really good guy and I am sure he will point you in the right direction. He has helped me a bunch. Good luck!!

$6000 in parts will quickly become $10,000 in parts if building a completely new motor, especially is using AFR, ETP, etc.

With an A4 tranny you might want to factor $2k-$3k shortly after the install for a new tranny build. Don't forget another $2k or so for the rear...

I just built a 402 LS2 w/ L92 heads, L76 intake and completely new valvetrain parts for a little under $8k in parts/shortblock. I went through SDPC, but I would reccommend anybody anywhere over them.

EDIT: I sent you a PM about my experience with SDPC. I didn't want to hijack this thread and bash a sponsor at the same time. When all is said and done I'm going to leave a nice, lengthy thread in the sponsor feedback section

Mitchell, I hear you had another harness issue because GM changed the clips or something halfway through a year model. If eating all of these red label freight charges isn't enough to make you happy and show that we're trying to take care of you, please let me know what I can do to make it right for you. PM me or e-mail if you'd prefer.

I'm going to re-hi-jack my thread.

How about wait, cash in some stock options and go with an L92 based 418 or 416 with CNC'd L92 heads and L76 intake. Should be able to get this for 8k complete.

Should I upgrade the rods? Or are the Scat H-Beams good enough? Or Callies Compstar/Lunati Pro Mod?

What compression ratio for 91 octane?

Say 11.0cr how much boost will it hold? How big of dry shot?

Can I upgrade to long tubes later? How much will I be leaving on the table if I stick with the stock manifolds?

Should I go with a stall converter? How big of cam can I use on a stock converter vs say a 3000 stall.

I have 15k on my LS2 long block now, would I be able to get about 2500 for it?

Sorry for all the questions.
