Default Fuel Rails on the L76 Intake

I know that the LS2 Rails are the ones that you have to use for this Intake, but I think that you have to use the regular LS1/LS6 Injectors..
This is the L76, with LS2 Rails, and LS2 Injectors. Notice how much higher it sits, everything is in it's proper place. It needs about a 1/2" spacer. That and it's a little off on the Passenger side, anyone have this happen..

I think the L76 intake uses the newer LS2/LS7 style injectors, hence the LS2 rails.
I have a set of 42# C5R injectors I'd like to use, what rails, etc., do I need to make this work with an L76 intake?

I have LS2 Injectors on it and you have to shim it up about a 1/2".. I got it to work.

The fuel injectors that are supplied with the L76 intake kit are LS7. If you're using LS7 injectors, LS2 fuel rails, and the L76 intake, there should be no reason for you to have to space them.

I am using an LS1 rail and injectors on my L76. You just have to make some offset standoffs. We had a block made with two holes 10 mm apart. One hole was clearanced and countersunk to attach to the manifold (with a round headed internal hex cap screw). the other was threaded to bolt the rail to. Works like a champ and doesn't sit up a mile either. I will see if I can get some pics.

If anyone wants a good deal on my LS2 rail, let me know. It was just sticking up far too much for comfort.

I just bent the tabs and used spacers. Also cut crossover and use hose. Not elegant, but works flawlessly.
Does the LS2 rail (with LS1 inj.) sit high without spacers?

Yea, the LS2 rail sits a couple inches or so off the top. I didn't want to bend the tabs on the LS1 - if you lose one of those spot welds to the fuel rail you are SOL. I tried that with a trans dipstick once and had to get a new one.

Seriously, though, somebody buy my LS2 rail. It works fine with shorty injectors.

LS2 Rail with LS1/LS6 Injectors works perfect. The LS2 Injectors are a little higher.

Actually, I think the LS2 injectors are shorter which is why you have to space the rail up with LS1s.

Any particular reason you want to use aftermarket fuel rails? If you wanting to use the L76 intake, the supplied injectors, which are LS7, then the LS2 fuel rails is what you need. I have a brand net set for sale. PM me if you're interested.

Just because they look nicer. The rails as supplied on the L76 work fine and just needed a slight tweak to clear the Katech coil relocation brackets.

I didn't mean to sound like I was slamming him...I wasn't trying to do that.

I have a 98 with the return fuel line. I want to use my LS1 fuel rail with the newer injectors supplied with the intake. It sounds like this may not work.

Is it a PITA to convert to a returnless system?

Thanks.
