Default Intake help

Ok I sold my old ls6 intake and got a l92 setup, but when I sold it I forgot to take that electronic sensor off the back of the intake. What the hell is that called and where can I get one? I cant find any information about this anywhere.

That is your MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) you can get one at your local chevy dealer...

I thought the L92 setup came with a new MAP sensor located on the front of the intake?

That's odd. Mine came with one too. Did you buy the complete intake/injectors/tb setup?

Wrong!

MAP = Manifold Air Pressure

MAF = Mass Air Flow

LSX cars have both, as well as every LT1 but 1993.

Peace,
Craig.

okay here it is - MAP means barometric pressure absolute, MAF = airflow, but THEY BOTH USE AIR TO METER IT TO ENGINE! It is SAME thing! Here, I will show u:

Wow you showed info and your still wrong. The Mass Air Flow (MAF) meter, meters how much air enters enters the engine in volume. The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, meters the air pressure in the intake manifold to help determine along with the MAF how much fuel should be delivered to the injectors, but it measures the density and pressure of the air. They both deal with air but they are in fact seperate meters/sensors. Some engines don't have the MAF but do have the MAP, which is called speed density to measure the amount of air going into the engine.

Map also sense's elavation and air volume before you even start the engine. What I would like to know is why you even stated they were the same. No one asked everyone already knew except for you, are you just trying to sound smart.

By that logic your car and bike are the same thing because they both use engine power to turn wheels. Are you supposed to be wearing a helmet?
