Default 440ci

Just ordered my 440ci stroked LS7.

At first I'll be using some Stage III West Coast Cylinder heads. I have 1 3/4 headers with cats, stock exhaust and a stock intake.

What kinda numbers do you think it'll pull?

Cam is 257/266 not sure about the rest of the specs.

What do you think is the potential with all the bolt ons?

What bolt ons would get the most out of this combo?

Plan on going 12.1 compression.

Thanks

What intake? If you're using a ported fast 90 I'm gonna say 575 rwhp.

EDIT. I just saw stock intake and LT's with cats. Stock exhaust and intake are gonna kill you til you change em.

535 rwhp.

Is this going to be run on race gas? If you are going to run race gas I would up the compression to 14-1 or so.

Also 440 cid with a 1 3/4 header seems small, especially if you're running a larger cam. Stock exhaust and cats aint gonna work.

I would think you'd at least go 1 7/8 - 2" stepped.

If you ever plan to run nitrous on that thing I would go 2" primary.

That's good advise. I don't have the $$$ available to me to do everything at once. Maybe down the road I'll look at bigger headers and exhaust etc. Primarily used for road racing I would like it to be very torquey as well.

Thanks for your comments.

i would go with a little more compression with that size camshaft, like 12.5-13 otherwise you are going to kill some midrange torque that motor is king for, otherwise i would run a 242-248 on 114 +1 that is what i have in my gto with 438 stroker ls7 heads with WCCH exhaust port made 551 rwhp, 500 rwtq on a dyno dynamics dyno !

From what I was told Ryne is correct about the cam size. My cam is speced at 248/260 113 +3. I'm going with 454-457 and LS7 heads and intake. I was told that the heads and cid reacts better with the shorter duration.
