Default 416" L92...GMPP Carb intake or FAST L92??

I'm puttting a new motor together. I want it to be a fun street car with a nasty powerband! Here's the parts I have now

L92 block
Callies Dragonslayer 4" crank
Howards Rods
Weisco pistons
Fully ported L92 heads (no flow numbers yet)
Hydraulic cam in the neighborhood of (24x/25x, or 25x/26x and 650+ lift)
Compression 12.1
Kooks 1 7/8"-2" stepped headers
Spin to 7200-7400 rpms
T-56
Dana 60 w/ 4.30 or 4.56
325/50/15 MT Radials

I want it nasty, on the edge of streetable and pull like crazy! Hoping to make 550rwhp+...more like 575rwhp! Which intake whould you guys recommend?

Ported Fast L92 (when it comes out)

Ported GMPP L92 with custom elbow and 90-100mm TB. I would make a sheetmetal elbow so this combo would be much cheaper!

Is it going to loose to much power down low or will it be worth it just make the power up top? I think the carb intake is the way to go, just wanted to see what you guys think?

Thanks!

I would think the carb intake is where you want to be. but its hard to compare to a part thats not even out yet....

but the fast 90/90's are dying @ around 6,000ish

I would use the GMPP carb intake just because you can....is there even a time frame for the L92 FAST?

this is with a 244/248 113+2 cam..... elbow, carb, fast 90tb..... etc etc.... my problem is that the intake is unported and the cam might not be optimal... and I am sure it could use a shitload more work on the tune.

you def need to run the single plane with that combo, why dont you put in a solid roller and make some real power, why does everybody keep screwing with hyd rollers

I guess they don't want to mess with valve adjustment. I hear a hydrolic roller will peak up to 7000 with titanium valves and nice valve springs set nice and stiff along with a lighter rocker?

very, very seldom do you have to adjust valves if you use quality parts and set everthing up properly

well, i think if you wait for the fast L92, you will be waiting a long time, as these things never come to market when they are suppose to.

Plus i think you will make more power all over the place with the single plane carb intake. And with what you want, id def go with solid lifters, they are worth an easy 30-40 horse over a hydraulic setup.

Definitely don't want solid roller this time, last combo was. I wanna drive the **** outta this car and don't wanna have the matainence that comes with solid roller. I wanna make a lot of power and still keep the streetabilty of the hydraulic!

You can turn to 7500 if you have the proper setup. No need for a solid roller anymore.

Are the L92 rocker pedestals stout enough to handle the spring pressure needed for a solid roller? They look awfully weak to me.

i guess the fact that a hydraulic roller setup is less than half the cost of a solid roller setup doesn't matter?

my hydraulic roller setup cost me $260 - ls7 lifters, L92 intake rockers, and hardened pushrods.

good luck even finding a rocker that will work with solid lifters for an L92 setup for that price.

keep the revs down and spend the money on a plate setup. if you need more than 7,200 rpm in a street car to make power - you aren't doing something right - or you drive a honda.

Why spin it that high when its possible to make the same power lower? Are we talking about N/A motors, Sprayed, Turbo, Supercharger? That makes all a difference to me.

What lifters are you using for this setup?
