From what I've heard, the LS6 and LS2 intakes are very close performance wise. Probably not worth doing the swap for the couple HP you would gain.

The LS6 is directly interchangeable with the LS1 intake, except for the fact that the LS6 intake doesn't have EGR, and you will need to notch the bottom of the LS6 to clear the LS1 coolant lines. I believe the LS2 intake uses electronic throttle, so I don't think the throttle body and cable bracket would be interchangeable with the LS1 intake.

Well here was a test done. http://www.gearchatter.com/viewtopic11052.php

showed the LS6 intake to be better at all rpm's, I dont know the particulars of actually doing the swap though.

LS6 is designed for a three bolt 78mm TB, not the four bolt 90mm TB on the LS2 or the four bolt 78mm TB on the LS4.

I haven't found an adapter for the 4 bolt TB's, so I've been building one to mount the LS4 TB.

EDIT: this assumes that you want to keep drive by wire.

Hmmm, I think I remember reading on another thread that the LS2 has different injector spacing. If true, new fuel rails would be required to use the LS6.

true

Plus, the LS6 cant take a 90mm TB(stock on your LS2) and the map sensor is in the rear. Might need an harness adapter from FAST too.

The LS6 is a lot better than a LS2 stock, but the LS2 ported is badass, from what I've heard. check this site http://www.ls2portworks.com/

its onebadws6 that told me these nice infos....

I'm thinking about going for a ported LS2 now...

If I had a LS1 that I was building for boost would it be worthwhile to install a LS2 intake over the LS6 so I can run the bigger TB? If so what is needed, could I get a NW 90 and bolt it on a LS2 that I had ported? Thanks

Or would an Edlebrock with an elbow and 90mm TB be better?

edelbrock with the elbow and the 90mm would probably have more potential and be better off the bat to start with. I can get you those at a very reasonable price. Just PM me with what you'd like to do with the setup...
Thanks

did you guys miss the link i posted up there? LS6 intake with a 78mm TB made more power than a ls2 with a FAST 90 mm TB. So your not getting any benefit of having a bigger TB on a crappier intake.

Iv posted in the fuel section and have only had 16 hits on the thread. My buddy has a brand new LS2 crate motor and he has allrea1dy pulled the top end off for some upgraded. I was thinking about buying the injectors. He told me 50 bucks for all 8. But I have the LS6 manifold. I just dont know if they will fit. I know the LS2 guys use the LS1 injectors with larger O rings, but are the LS2 injectors too big to fit the LS6 intake and rails?

LS2 injector dimensions are different all over.
You'd have to discard the LS2 lower O rings and use something smaller diameter, maybe LS1 O rings on the lower part of the LS2 injector??
The LS2 injectors are shorter, so you'd have to lower your current fuel rail (by bending it ??).
The LS2 injectors use a different electrical connector, so you'd need a set of 8 injector adapters (about $60) to adapt from LS1 harness to EV6 injectors.
