Angry LS1 to LS2 conversion, not a success! coolant leak.

I cant believe this. I have a coolant leak between the drvrs side cyl head and the block. I am using LS6 type heads and an LS2 block. I do not remember where I got the head gaskets at right now. The leak is below the forward most head bolt (this bolt is outside the valve cover near spark plug #1).

But is there a possiblity of a mismatch between the heads, gasket, and block configurations? The leak is very pronounced, it readily flows coolant.

I suppose the only fix is to remove the head and replace the head gasket.

Could be the coolant temp sensor not sealing completely.

You are correct,,, the coolant temp sensor was not fully seated. I am my own worst enemy sometimes.
