Default For everyone running a stock water pump.

Here is another option for controlling engine temperature. These cooling spools replace your thermostat and are currently being used in the NASCAR LS spec classes, Daytona Prototypes, Sand rails and drag cars with great success. Check them out.

It is a restricter that replaces the thermostat. C&R also makes NASCAR inline thermostats, but they are a ton of money. I will be getting one of these restricters from 11th hour. Where in MI are you?

They replace your stock thermostat and act as a restrictor. We are located in Burton, MI. They can be purchased through our online store, they are in-stock and ready to ship.

If your cooling system is sufficient, temperature can be raised or lowered depending on the hole size in the spool.

The biggest advantage is they won't stick open or closed which can cause you to loose a race or engine damage.

Very cool. A manual fan switch and an ACTUAL temp gauge would be a great combination with that. Nice product.

Yes it would work well with it. It would allow you to cool the engine below where a thermostat would close. This would be helpful between rounds.
