Custom Intake
Who is running a Custom built Intake on their LSX Engine..
I'm looking into this idea since there isn't a really big aftermarket for the L92/LS3 Heads, and they have a ton of potential.
I was thinking of building something like a LT1 Style Intake, but with longer Runners..kind of a cross of a Victor Jr. but with a Plenum on it where the Air will come in and where the Throttle Body can bolt to, and make it to where I can still run my Fuel Injection.

Well after talking to the guys that produce this Intake, I got some numbers.
For the roughly $3K investment, it is a 15hp gain up to 7000RPM's, and some loss of torque down low.
I think I'll stick with the L76 and wait for the Weiand Street Warrior for that price.. the numbers on that are more promising.

4-6k for the intake + anouther 4-6K for the nitrous and custom work. Heck that thing has three stages of nitrous, everything is powdercoated and dont forget the labor to put it all together.

Mine is the same style intake from beck, just not anodized black
$2500 ish for an intake with nitrous bungs.
Figure on about 2500 - 3000 for a 3 stage direct port plumbing setup from n20 outlet.
$5000 - 5500 is about right for that intake setup.
6k for an intake and youre rapidly approacing the ITB intake prices such as the ever popular harrop. For a sheet metal like these, depending on your setup and compression, you could see gains of 30+ hp over a fast. You lose some low end torque due to the runner length, but it shines up on top. These are not for mild head cam 346, theyre for big cube, honkin' cam, high revving strokers, obviously.

sorry guys i havent been on in a few days. the cost of the intake was $1700 off of another member on here, and as far as the nitrous stuff goes...well im not too sure i havent gotten the final bill yet from nitrous outlet, but for the amount of work and the effort put it it will all be worth it. especially if it can get me into the LOW 9's and possibly high 8's

Here's mine. it's on a 6.0/L92 in a 71 Vette. I didn't have to worry about that Camaro cowl.
I don't have any results yet but I'll be going to the chassis dyno in the next couple weeks.
