LS3 into 98TA
The LS3 has a 58x crank reluctor wheel and the LS1 is 24x. So the stock LS1 crank sensor and PCM are not compatible with a stock LS3 crank. In addition, the cam sensor is mounted in the front timing cover and the MAP sensor is different and mounted on the front of the LS3 intake. The knock sensors for the LS3 are not mounted in the engine valley like the LS1, but on each side of the block. You can overcome those with a little ingenuity or buy aftermarket adaptor harnesses, but the crank reluctor wheel does present a problem IF you use the stock crank.
