Default Stock L92 Valves coming apart?

I've heard rumors of the stock L92 intake valves coming apart. The head of the valve I believe. Has anyone else heard of this or had any experience with it? I've got a bare set of heads I'm putting together and am wondering if the extra cost of aftermarket valves is nworth it. My motor has a 550" cam and very rarerly goes over 3500 rpm, any reason for me to upgrade?

I've got a 6.0 motor that the stock valve came apart on a 317 head. No upgrades and an old lady drove the truck. As far as L92's,nothing yet on the valves.

It is not a whole lot more expensive for aftermarket stainless valves, since you have to get valves anyway. But they are a lot heavier, so you need to pick a robust spring package to complete them.

Search. There is a good thread about this and the consensus is that, while their are some failures, it has been nothing out of the norm for any mass produced item

I would invest in some stainless valves. Rev tech I believe sells a set for a very reasonable price. Its cheap insurance. Like mentioned above I bet the failures are few and far between. Most valves are fusion welded head to stem and can come apart. Its just the risk involved with them.

I did try searching but came up blank. I've also been trying to find just the valves for sale. All I can find aftermarket wise are the Manley's for $160 on ebay. Any suggestions on other brands or where to get them? I found Rev brand stainless valves for about $65, great price, but only a listing for LS1 sizes.

You can use LS3 intakes which are light and strong.
