That was likely a custom-bent steel inlet tube that was painted for appearance purposes. I don't think any manufacturers out there make an aftermarket cold air intake for LSx swaps in the 1st Gen cars. And based on the size of that inlet tube there's possibly a turbo on the other end of it 
But again, very likely to be something custom that was fabbed up for this car.
