Default Another Crank install Question

Hello you all my question to you all which i hope can be answered .
Can you install a ls1 crank off a 2000 motor into a 2000 6.0 block and if so is there any modifications that are needed or direct fitment please help this would be greatly appreciated .. The reason for this install purchased the 6.0 short block for 350 thinking it was a great deal then while reading the forum it stated the crank was longer than the stock ls1 and i am using a 4l60 off a 2000 camaro so you see my predicament ..

Some of the earlier 6.0 cranks are longer on the rear crankshaft flange. If you are using the car transmission I do not think this will be an issue.

Just reread this. I thought you were asking if the LS1 crank will work. The 6.0 crank is probably about 0.400 inch to long to make it work with the older style transmissions. If you swap out the crank it should work. Make sure to use the correct reluctor wheel for your application.

The rotating assembly will need to be rebalanced since different sized pistons will be used.

I would go to a different shop. I far as I know all the journals rod and mains are the same. That goes for all LS series engines. I just put an Lunati LS1 crank in a LS7 block.

What is the intended purpose of this engine? Is it a mild build or just a rebuild?
