nice numbers all, was searching for dyno numbers with a forged 408 ( being built ) with L92 heads, when i ran across this thread, very interesting numbers and figure i would share my setup: ( its in a rcsb <--- truck )

the setup consist of a 2004 escalade short block, (stock), fully bolted, electric water pump, LS3 heads from TSP,, FAST 102MM intake with the 102 TB, Patrick G spec'd cam 235/239 .624 lift, the graph shown is the 232/238 cam, hadnt dynoed on the new cam, though by calculation its tipping 500 to the wheels, 1 7/8ths stepped to 2" kooks fbody headers into dual 3" exhaust, no X pipe reworked PI converter to 4400 from circle-d, 4 link, 4l60e tranny built by perfomabuilt, 4:88 gears, detriot tru trac, fuel cell, race seats, <--- only weight reduction thats been done, truck weighs in at 4016 with me in it, 3806 empty it is tuned by Quik. it has went a best of 11.3x in 52* weather with a DA around 600-700,the heads are milled .015 using a .040 gasket which gave me a 11.1 CR, its nothing special just figured i'd share!!

the red line is the FAST intake, blue line is the truck style L92

she put down 480+ to the wheels and 440+ of torque..

im very pleased with this setup until i floated a valve last weekend which i came a cross some stock heads which are now being reworked and new valve job.

I was doing some research I had my dyno guy change my smoothing level to 5 and my new #s are 517/497 with 25 mpg. Got to say I'm so torn on going to 3.73 gears from the 3.23s I still burn through 1,2 some 3. 4th pulls mad!

Stock LQ4 shortblock, stock L92's, stock LS3 intake/rails/injectors, Nick Williams 92mm TB, TSP 231/236 .644"/.613" 111LSA cam, and bolt-ons.

Made 418/400 on SpeedInc's dyno on the mail-order tune. That was shutting it down early because of fuel pressure issues ~5500rpms. Should max out a good 1000rpms higher, and make a lot more power once it's dynotuned. Just need to get a few issues worked out, and it'll be tuned in the next couple weeks.

Hey smoke!

You know, I've always known what goals I had set for the car, outside and eng setup but when it comes down to the gear I'm so torn. Those vettes have 2.73-3.xx and I love my gas milage with 3.23. I have a 10bolt and new 3.73s just got to get it all installed.

Back on topic

CETA you run a similar top setup to mine. Go to a 4" ls7 mas and 4" lid. Did you have any tunning issues with the 102? My guy hasn't gotten it right yet. Mostly its an IAC issue.

Finally had my baby dyno tuned last night. I'm more impressed with the torque curve and relative lack of the 'L92 down-low dip' I see in some smaller-cube dyno graphs. I'm running the LS3 MAP, which I understand is incorrect for the earlier PCMs. Not sure how much effect this has on power, aside from the light off-idle stumble. Keep in mind this is with an 80e.

LQ4 .030" over (370 cubes)
Mahle flat-tops with L92 valve reliefs
Stock LS3 intake and injectors
Stock L92 heads milled .020"
Holley 90mm TB
10.5:1 SCR
LG Motorsports G6X3 cam (something like 235/242, .645/.620, 111)
American Racing 1 7/8" long tubes
3" Pypes RacePro with x-pipe

4L80e with HD2 shift kit
Vigilante 3600 single-disc stall converter
8.5" ring 10-bolt with 3.90s

I bet you are really making more power, run it at the track..... those 4L80E are strong but they eat up power on dynos..... So don't worry...

RyanSWS6, what cam is in the 408?

hookemdevils22, I thought the 6X3 was in the 238/247 range, and XER/LSK not LSK/XER?

1 3/4 headers with stock ti exhaust
stock crank pulley

When the engine was dynoed at 400miles with conventional oil and stock h pipe it made 490rwhp and 475rwtq. If i find my graph i will post it but it falls off pretty hard after 5800rpms. I also have my doubts about the company that tuned it which are no longer in the business of modifying cars.
Air fuel ratio... to lean they can fall over, also too much timing can make them fall over. if that is all correct the 113 lsa is a little tight I would push it out to 115.

cheers
