Bruce,
Do you have valve spring weights for any/all of the LS series valve springs?

most of you guys just need to stay with a decent ss valve like ferrea..im not real fond of manley (on valves) but thats just my opinion...like stated before titanium will work on any power adder application...having a Beryllium copper valve seat helps quite a bit to.

So robin more info On these GMPP large port lsx heads..will they be released anytime soon..i seen pics on another site

I wasn't aware of the LS9 valves being available. They are still rather spendy at $80 each. Here's a really good post that someone posted a while ago.

David Jarvis of Jarvis Performance is going to cut them down to length, re-groove the ends for locks and cut the intake diameter down from 2.180" to 2.169". He does great work and is very reasonable on cost. You need to come up with the 2.180" intake valves yourself because He doesn’t carry that size, but they are easy to find all over eBay.

He advertises on eBay, Here...

I'm going to bronze bush the guides to fit the new stem sizes and go with a set of Patriot Extreme’s for springs.

I'm already in the process of doing this for my Formula. I have a set of Manley 7mm intake valves that I'm having shortened and turned down. I'll be using a standard 8mm stainless steel or inconel (If I can afford it) 1.60 exhaust valve.

Sure it matters, come on Bruce. The weight of the valve spring must be accelerated just like the weight of the valve. That's why beehive valve springs contribute so positively to a lightweight valvetrain.

Thanks for the reply.

are the LS9 valves supposed to have a different valve lock than the standard ones for ls1-ls3? I hear theres a "rocker arm wear pad" ontop of the stem

edit, I found out they are 2.19" valves versus 2.16 parts catalog shows the same locks as standard ls1
