L92 head swap help
L92 head swap help I have a 6.0L LS2 w/cam. Everything else is stock. I'm trying t find out exatly what is involved in this swap. I know the general stuff, I'm looking for specifics. Such as what head gaskets(L92or LS2),pushrods, lifters? I want to know what parts have proven to be good. I'm trying to get an exact figure on what this is going to cost me altogether. Any info will be appreciated.
I have a 6.0 iron block .030 over with L 92's and I used the GM MLS head gaskets for the L 92 engine. I milled my heads .025 and am running comp 7.40 pushrods. Just got it running but everything seems to be okay.
if ur heads are stock 70cc and havent been milled, just get a set of ls7 lifters and stock length pushrods will work but i would check to be sure with a custom cam
ls2 gaskets will be fine
l92 intake rockers u can reuse your stock ls1 rockers for exhaust

Will the LS2 stock exhaust rockers work? I also heard that the LS2 gaskets hang into the combustion chamber and that they will burn up? I really need to know what headers to use too. Thanks for the help so far though.

intake runner is 262 iirc
just use the l92 gaskets you'll have no problem, use the ls2 rockers for the exhaust but the intake is a offset so u have to get new ones obviously
you need atleast 1 7/8in headers to help them heads breathe
