Default Cam suggestion for my 98 LS1 Vette???

I have a 1998 LS1 vette.... 3000 yank stall, 3.42 gears, full exaust. I am going with Texas Speed LS6 2.5 heads, but not sure about the cam they recommended. The 228R.... is this big enough? I want to keep it drivable, but its not a daily driver... I will need to drive it 1 hour to the track and back. I want the most bang for the buck. I also am going to put the bbk ssi intake and tb on it, and a 150 shot of nitrous. My goal is a low 11 sec drivable car. Any help is appreciated.

The 228R is a very impressive cam and it should be more than streetable with a proper tune.

I say get the Torquer V.3 if its going to be more of a track car than a DD. If you go too small you will wish you went bigger I can assure you that one.

228R would be a great cam for the setup. Be sure to go with some quality springs and retainers

Check my sig for two different cam profiles and their respective performance.

BTW, both cams are completely streetable. The cam in the 1998 idles nearly like stock and has lots of low end. The cam in the 2001 has a bit of shake at idle and has lots of top end.
