That will end up being the cheapest in the long run, and give you good piece of mind.
That is absolutely 100% a turned lifter.
Those stupid lifter buckets are a shitehouse design.
If you have a small base circle cam which would be the case with the specs you put up in an earlier post the lifter when on the base is only in the bucket by bugger all. Under any kind of rpm over 6000 the lifter escapes the bucket and only has to turn slightly and then the roller is running sideways to the lobe.
Once that happens the roller on the lifter no longer spins but grinds away flat.
Once that happens the rest of the damage you have shown in the pics follows.
Unfortunately the cam , lifters and valves etc. will have to be replaced. One Burr on the cam lobe and you will be back posting another set of pics here.
