Ls7 motor, Is this a deal?
The engine has the intake, coil packs, injectors and water pump on it. Is this a good deal?
Will a Richmond 6 speed bolt up to it?
How much boost can this stock motor take?
Thanks
I wouldn't put over 5-6 pounds on it personally, but that is over 800 crank hp, so you make the call..
EDIT: Not sure on the tranny question, but I think it will.

There was a project posted on this site last spring were a guy pulled his brand new ZO6 apart and he sold the engine (w/ under 1000 miles) for $9000
It was gone same day of him posting if that tells you anything.
IMO a cam change is almost mandatory on the LS7. The heads and intake are good pieces but the cam sucks. I wouldnt put too much boost to it, they WILL break. Like stated before, 5lbs is a good number for that engine and make sure you have a GOOD tuner.

I'd say $6.5K is a steal. The sky is the limit on these. I'm at 572/538 with my combo ( basically stock heads less than 250 duartion and less than .650 lift) I saw a set of "hand finished" LS7 LPE heads flow over 405 on the intake side..... Those are next

Click the link in the first post. But still ... point made
$9K, $11K ... either way you slice it, for $6,500, I wouldnt hesitate. In fact I'd RUN to his house before the guy changes his mind. LOL. As for the Richmond, It will fit. The LS7 should have the correct pilot bearing already in place. I got my bell housing from Keisler. It's a 621 BBC with the extra hole for the top trans mount. If you use a manual clutch linkage, I can give you details on the throwout bearing setup.
