Im in the process at looking for a decent sized cam right now (ms4) I am also keeping my eye open for a used 6.0. either ls2 or lq9, doesnt really matter.

my question is, is the cam completely interchangeable? I dont want to buy a cam for my ls1 and not be able to re use it down the road.

also had a question regarding heads. say if I used the patriot, putting them on with the cam would be ok, as long as I stayed with the stock cr and didnt have them milled? dont want to run into PTV clearance problems later.

I know the lq9 is a direct swap and dont have to worry about the front cover or a knock sensor relocate like you do the ls2

so heads and cam are interchangeable and i dont have to worry about PTV clearence?

Just want to make sure I can reuse my heads and cam if I pick up a ls2/lq9 and not have to flycut.
