Default What vendor has the best price on Morel Hyd Lifters?

I thought I seen a thread in here of someone asking a similar question if not the same but using the search Using the term Morel's is not coming up with it. I see Thunder Racing is the only one I can find on here that shows them for $495 plus shipping i believe. I'm building a 408ci and dont want to be concerned about a lifter failure. Thanks

Are Morels a drop in lifter on a hyd. cam? Will they work with the LSX blocks lifter guides. I need a set as well if they will.

Yes they are a drop in lifter like the factory lifters, You can get link bar style ones aswell and eliminate the lifter trays if you want. I dont recommend that because those lifter trays are what make it so nice when doing a cam, rotate one full turn and the lifters lock up in the trays, pull the cam and reinstall done With the link bar style you would have to remove the intake and valley cover to pull the lifters out to do the cam. However you dont have to pull the heads if you would have a lifter problem with the link bar style. Its a catch 22.

They won't fit through the pushrod holes in the heads.....

OK did I say something wrong here? Am i not thinking of my LS1 when i say the link bars let you eliminate the lifter trays and you can remove the lifters w/o taking the heads off? Or do I need to pull my head from my azz?

Thanks 99blancoSS-- i need the no link bar cause i'm putting new trays in and want to keep them.

You need to pull the heads to do the lifters.
The link bar eliminates the tray, it's a better system IMO.

As I stated above the heads need to come off to remove ANY AND ALL types of lifters. Look at an image of an LS series block with a head removed and you will see why.

On some v6 engines you can remove the intake to get the lifters out. On ls motors you have to remove the cylinder head to get to them.

Thats a great idea, spend about a hour clicking all the vendors on the side and see how many you find that offer them. ONLY one has them on their site THUNDER RACING. Soooo who do i call? Isnt that kinda why we post things asking etc cause we want a response? Isnt that why the links are over there to look at the products they offer? If they dont show them do I spend hours calling wasting their time and mine? Or could i just make a post where the site sponsors are and let the ones that offer them say so? Thats part of the idea of the site to me..... maybe i'm wrong.
What I love is those that ask and dont prefer to buy from our site sponsors. At this point due to my lovely thread of asking for who (as in site sponsors) has them and for what price with very little response can only mean my business doesnt matter or maybe they dont have them. The hole point of the thread was to get the attention and find a site sponsor to purchase them from at a reasonable price. THATS ALL
